About

Hohyon Ryu

As Digital Transformation Team Leader and CEO of OXOpolitics, I focus on enhancing democratic participation through technology. I've presented at institutions including Harvard Kennedy School, where I discussed "Three Principles for AI Politics," exploring how artificial intelligence can strengthen rather than undermine democratic processes. My work bridges theoretical frameworks of information evolution with practical applications in civic technology.

"AI's true potential isn't replacing humans, but enhancing our capacity to create synergy across differences."

With a background spanning both academic research and industry practice, I bring a unique perspective to the challenges of digital transformation and AI governance. My experience at companies like Airbnb and Twitter has informed my understanding of how technology shapes social interactions and organizational structures, while my academic work has explored the theoretical underpinnings of these changes.

Currently, I lead the Digital Transformation team at Taejae Future Strategy Institute, where I develop frameworks and methodologies for organizations navigating the complex landscape of technological change. I also serve as CEO of OXOpolitics, a platform dedicated to enhancing democratic processes through data-driven approaches and AI-enhanced deliberation.

Mission & Vision

Enhancing Democratic Participation Through Technology

I believe that technology, when properly designed and implemented, can strengthen democratic processes by enabling broader participation, more informed deliberation, and greater transparency. My work focuses on creating digital tools and platforms that empower citizens to engage meaningfully in governance and decision-making.

Developing Human-Centered AI Governance Models

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into our social and political systems, we need governance frameworks that ensure these technologies serve human flourishing rather than undermining it. I work to develop models that maintain human agency and ethical considerations at the center of AI development and deployment.

Bridging Theory and Practice in Digital Transformation

Too often, theoretical frameworks remain disconnected from practical applications, while practical implementations lack solid theoretical foundations. My work aims to bridge this gap, bringing rigorous theoretical understanding to real-world digital transformation initiatives and grounding theoretical work in practical experience.
