About Hohyon Ryu

Team Leader & Research Professional

As Digital Transformation Team Leader and CEO of OXOpolitics, I focus on enhancing democratic participation through technology. I've presented at institutions including Harvard Kennedy School, where I discussed "Three Principles for AI Politics," exploring how artificial intelligence can strengthen rather than undermine democratic processes. My work bridges theoretical frameworks of information evolution with practical applications in civic technology.

With over 15 years of experience spanning Silicon Valley tech companies, entrepreneurship, and academic research, I bring a unique perspective on how technology reshapes social systems. My work combines technical expertise with humanistic insights to create practical solutions for complex societal challenges.

"AI's true potential isn't replacing humans, but enhancing our capacity to create synergy across differences."

Vision & Approach

My research and professional work are guided by a vision of technology that enhances human capabilities and strengthens democratic processes. I believe that AI and digital technologies should be designed to bridge divides, facilitate understanding across differences, and enable more inclusive and effective decision-making.

This vision is informed by my unique background that spans both technical expertise in software engineering and AI, as well as deep knowledge of information science, governance systems, and social dynamics. By combining these perspectives, I work to create solutions that are not only technically sound but also socially beneficial and ethically grounded.

At Taejae Future Strategy Institute, I lead research initiatives that explore how AI will transform governance systems and design innovative frameworks for the future of democracy. This work is complemented by my role as CEO of Tobl AI, where I develop practical applications of AI for organizational transformation and collaboration.
